FLUTE PERFORMANCES

SHORT BIO: Cat Hope is a classically trained flute performer and improvisor who specialises in bass and alto flute as a soloist and member of new music ensembles. She has premiered new works for flute by composers such as Roger Smalley, Lionel Marchetti, Èliane Radigue and a range of other international artists. She has performed and recorded with new music groups Clocked Out, ALEA (1988-94) and is an active performer in the new music ensemble Decibel (2009-). She has performed and recorded with popular music artists such as Hugo Race and the True Spirit, Quartered Shadows (Germany) and MiceVice (Italy) and has recently featured in solo performances at Tectonics (Athens, 2022) and Forum Jetzt Musik (Hamburg, 2023).

Three times - we parted - Breath - and I (solo recital). World premiere of Les Serpents for flute and partion concrete, co-composed by Cat Hope and Lionel Marchetti, as part of Tectonics Athens, 2022 alongside works by Hope, Radigue.
